We have gone out and educated several schools this school year.  In May we went to Zavala Elementary, Yeager Elementary, Woodlawn Elementary, Magee Intermediate, Travis Elementary, East Primary, and Moody High School.


During the junior and illuminated parade we had several volunteers assisting in putting the float together and then later they assisted in manning the float while on the parade route.



The LEPC hosted a tabletop drill on May 19th at the Solomon Ortiz Center.  We had over 50 participants in the drill.  We simulated a drill of a barge running into a vessel carrying hazardous chemicals.  Everyone worked very well together and got the job down.  We had individuals from the community, industry, and first responders in attendance.
