LEPC General Meetings: Every month on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 10:30 at 2406 Leopard 3rd floor training room.
Risk Awareness Committee
This subcommittee shall promote community awareness of the nature and potential for hazardous material emergencies, and appropriate actions to take upon discovery or notification of a hazardous material release. Inform the public of LEPC meetings and availability of information on area facilities. Respond to public inquiries or complaints regarding specific facilities or incidents. Meetings: Last Friday of each month -- dates are subject to change.
Emergency Response and Communications Committee
This subcommittee shall establish and maintain an emergency response and communication system between federal, state, and local government response personnel and industry response personnel that is consistent with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-5). Provide join training opportunities for first responder personnel and assist in chemical emergency drill planning. Evaluate plan performance during exercise or past incidents and upgrade as needed.
Meetings: Meetings will be held quarterly on the last Wednesday of the Month at 11:30 am --- January, March, May, July, September, and November
Pipeline Committee
This subcommittee shall promote identification of pipelines in Nueces County, as well as promote the Texas One-Call System. This subcommittee shall also facilitate communication between local government and industry responders regarding potential and actual pipeline emergency incidents. Meetings: Every other month on the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am --- January, March, May, July, September, and November.
